I would not be lying to say Cha for Tea and its plaza is a local hangout spot for many CSULB students and local communities alike. I've fond memories of my senior year being here, as well as the hangouts after racing and practices with CSULB & USC dragonboat teams. Given that this is a local favorite, I'd recommend most anyone visiting the area to take a little break here!

It's a hot day and I stopped In for a cold refreshing drink. Purchased a Thai milk tea and love it that the barista asked me how sweet I want it. Regular is four pumps, I asked for 3 pumps and that turned out to be perfect as I don't like things to be too sweet. The drink was really tasty. Best one I've had in a while. The place was busy and people seemed relaxed. The rest of the menu looked great also and I'll be stopping in here again. The food smelled great coming out of the kitchen. Bathroom could use a loving hand and I'm not personally in love with the bamboo straws but that won't stop me from coming back

Heading to the dog beach and stopped for a quick drink and snack. My girlfriend raves about their crispy chicken and she was not wrong. Super crispy, flavorful and batter had cayenne pepper or chili powder that gave it a hint of spice that was nice. The beverages were refreshing and cold! The Strawberry Colada was a dream and the Passion Fruit Green Tea was delightful. I would love to come back to try the rest of their menu.

Made a quick stop by this Cha for Tea location and the drinks and food were good and consistent with what I had in the past. Almond Milk Tea and Mango Green Tea were my favorites. The Honey Green Milk Tea was pretty good also. Their drinks were a bit sweet, so I got fewer pumps of sweetener and the drinks were still delicious. Their crispy chicken was good, but their sweet and sour sauce was meh. If you've been to other boba places, you'll know what I'm talking about. Crispy chicken is usually paired with this sweet and spicy sauce that just enhances the chicken flavor. Cha's sauce was just underwhelming. It's too bad they never upgraded it. Still, the chicken was good on its own so I'd still get it.
